Future Students
Student Projects
Model Solar Car Racing at UNSW
One of the exciting features of our Photovoltaics and Solar Energy undergraduate program is the second year project. This project enables students to gain hands-on experience early in their undergraduate career. Students can then build on this experience for their fourth-year thesis where they undertake one year of directed laboratory and research work on an approved subject under the guidance of members of the academic staff
Developing Countries
The Developing Countries project is one of our most popular projects. The aim of this project is to assist villagers in developing countries to gain access to electricity to satisfy their energy needs in a clean and sustainable manner.
Biodiesel
Biodiesel is an environmentally friendly fuel, and 2nd year students are designing a trailer which can act as a processing unit for biodiesel and also as a travelling education tool.
Other Projects
Other projects completed by students have included Solar Powered Bore Water, multimedia productions, and laboratory-based projects.
